About Us

And our mission to make UK Pro Wrestling as queer as humanly possible

A pro wrestling promotion that’s fun, accessible and - most of all - extremely gay

In 2023, we decided to create:

That’s been our mission ever since.

We’d had enough of toxic masculinity in the wrestling space, and decided to do something new. We wanted to create a show that was equal parts wrestling and drag, that pushed the boundaries of what both could be. A cabaret show with a wrestling theme, where up-and-coming talent could learn the ropes (literally) in a fun, friendly environment. The result? Our first CAMP show in June 2023.

Since then, we’ve gone from strength to strength, taking our shows outside Leeds and developing our storylines. Our first show was so low-budget that we didn’t even have a ring, but it was a success and spawned so much more!

Who are we?

Ash / Rich Tea

(They / them)

Ash is a pro wrestler, drag king and performance artist with a passion for making wrestling something that can be enjoyed by everyone, not just the usual cadre of straight cis men. They have been wrestling for over seven years, and currently do so as Rich Tea, a terrible straight man and one of CAMP’s main heels.

Luca

(They / them)

Luca is a drag performer, a live artist, an event organiser and a workshop facilitator. Co-creating CAMP with Ash in 2023, they have ensured the show is the queerest thing in pro wrestling and have used it to to showcase some of the north’s most incredible drag performers.

 Matt / Maxxx Gaynz

(He / him)

The newest member of the CAMP team, Matt has been wrestling since the beginning of the promotion as its top face, gay himbo Maxxx Gaynz. When he’s not getting slammed, he’s working behind the scenes to help organise CAMP and make the shows a success.
